Resume
I am a Colombian lawyer with solid experience in sports law, intellectual property, commercial law and compliance. I began my career in a leading Colombian law firm, where for over five years I worked on the protection of intangible assets and fair competition and led the trademark department, coordinating client relationships with a team of lawyers and paralegals. I later spent five years as legal leader at the Professional Football League of Colombia (DIMAYOR), overseeing corporate affairs, advising senior management and the General Assembly, and supporting the negotiation and structuring of key sponsorship and broadcasting agreements, which has given me a strong understanding of the governance, regulatory framework and commercial dynamics of professional football. I currently continue to work in the sports industry while leading legal strategy from a law firm for national and international clients on IP, contractual matters, compliance, privacy and personal data.
Education

I hold a law degree from Universidad del Rosario, a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and a Master’s degree in International Sports Law from the University of Lleida. This academic background, combined with my professional experience, allows me to address complex legal issues in both domestic and international sports and commercial contexts.

Practice Areas

My practice focuses on industrial property and national trademarks, advising clients on the registration, management, enforcement and strategic protection of their distinctive signs in Colombia. In addition, I work on intellectual property, commercial and corporate law, compliance, data protection and privacy, supporting national and international clients in the negotiation and structuring of commercial agreements, particularly within the sports industry.
