Education:

Pharmaceutical Chemist from the National University of Colombia, with a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Montreal, Canada, and qualified as a lawyer in Colombia. With 25 years of professional experience, he began his career as a patent examiner at the Colombian Patent Office before transitioning to the private sector. There, he has led interdisciplinary teams in major law firms, building extensive expertise in managing patent portfolios across Latin America ,particularly for life science companies, as well as in patent drafting, prosecution, and litigation. For over 10 years, he has served as a WIPO trainer for in-person patent drafting workshops and as a tutor for WIPO Academy online courses.
